The rain comes down in buckets and tubfuls here, thrown by a million bored godlings working on their baseball pitch. It bounces off a thousand metal roofs and makes a racket that fills the rest of the air and roars into every window.

I wonder if it'll rain tomorrow, when I actually have to be out? Good chance to try out my lovely boots.

Meanwhile, Accuweather.com's widget is consistently wrong. I need to find a better weather widget for this chunk of the planet.


*Whoa. Thunder cracks once and the temp drops ten degrees. That's bizarre.

**And now the sun's setting somewhere behind it all, and I can tell because the entire scenery is tinted a dusty red behind the omnipresent grey. Wow.
