Today I taught Obama English.

"Yes, we can!" turns out to be linguistically significant at a Japanese middle school level.

More to come. possibly.

Middle schoolers. They're kinda cool. I admire them when I keep my head enough to remember the context.


ps. also taught myself the Star-Spangled Banner on harmonica. Still sounds pretty bad, though.

Hahaha, ohh ohh, I was eating lunch with a bunch of middle schoolers and they were all like blah blah blah English is hhaaaaaard, so I was like "You can do it!" They asked me what it meant, I translated it, there was a pause and then they turned to me simultaneously and said "YES WE CAN!" I lol'd.
