Back in the village. I catch sight quite often of cows and buffalo with their horns dyed pink. White cows are often spotted with the same watery shade. There were even a few goats with the treatment. I take it Diwali around here has its own charm.
I am at that lovely stage of mucoid congestion in which every sneeze rips out a few cilia from the bottom of my lungs, and the insides of my chest smart like a plucked eyebrow. That said, either the 3rd-5th graders were intimidated by my horrible growly Batman voice, or they actually felt sorry for me, because I largely had their attention in reviewing their vacation homework. Felt productive, anyway.
About a third of the school was absent today, being the first day after long break. That was fun.
