Questions in my daybook, over 12 days.
Jun. 3rd, 2008 08:07 pm-How does air circulation work on airplanes, anyway? Do their air conditioners have to suck it out of the wind rushing by? It seems like it would be a problem.
-How would I go about, hypothetically, identifying a nifty-lookin´ European tank with a hexagonal cross-section sighted cruising about the airport in Munich?
-Does Barcelona have a no-verbal-panhandling law like Austin does, or is it just bad manners in Spain?
-Was the word ´gaudy´ actually coined for the wacky funster architect or is it just an amazing coincidence?
-When Barcelona institutes a new construction law (like a zoning regulation or a safety code) does Sagrada Familia get an automatic grace period? Is there a legal team just for the Sagrada construction project?
-Why does anyone ever try to throw Robin off of tall places? Speaking here specifically of Robin 1.
-Who the crap is Rufus Wainwright?
-Pop art megastore. Best idea ever? Conceptual nightmare? Or both?
-How does one go about a roux? Could Roux, under any circumstances, ever be a good name for a person? (How about a pet?)
-What about Saul? Too heavy a name? Is it pregnant with any particular meaning, or more just generally pretentious?
-Is it standard for classical performers to stand and bow between each movement? Or is this a Spaniard musician thing?
-Is it common or uncommon for dense urban apartment buildings (let´s say, middle to low class) to have windows on the landings between floors? This is before one gets into any apartment: a window that may be accessed without possession of any key.
-Do magpies nest in trees? Or any given trinket-collecting animal, for that matter?
-What´s considered characteristic of Italian facial features?
-What, in precise terms, does it actually MEAN to have four dots in crafts? (Or any skill?)
-You know what´s awesome? BUNNIES.
