Food is an adventure!
Jan. 20th, 2007 07:06 pmWhat I learned today!
-Frying bread is pretty fun, but vegetable oil by itself makes for no decent flavor. Will try garlic salt next time.
-300 degrees is not hot enough to toast bread in an oven. But hey, who needs a toaster?
-Half a teaspoon is WAY too much ginger for a cup of soup, no matter what the box says. That fine-ground Asian ginger is strong stuff.
-Don't slide the kale in 'till nearer the end, or it gets all limp and squishy. Keep steaming. Also, store it in tupperware or something so it stops going limp in fridge.
